9:00 AM – A Push, Peddle, Fun Walk

  • Start, Altoona Campus and finish at The Enabling Garden
  • All are welcome to participate: Infants to Seniors – travel at your own pace
  • FREE Entry with donation of a non-perishable food item to benefit the Caring Hands Food Pantry
  • DRESS UP: Come in Arbor Day-Spring Costume theme. Costume prizes announced at the Enabling Garden

10:00 AM – Arbor Day Celebration at the Enabling Garden

  • Flag Raising Ceremony by Local Cub Scouts
  • Art and Poetry readings by Local Girl Scouts
  • Speaker Emma Hanigan from the Iowa Department of Natural Resources
  • Many  Vendors, Door Prizes, Games & More

11:00 AM – 2:00 PM – Health & Wellness Fair at Civic Plaza (located by Hy-Vee – in case of bad weather it will move into the Hy-Vee Conference Center)

  • Free food samples
  • Healthy nutrition SPIN & WIN
  • Free health & wellness information
